A baby is coming!

Our son and daughter-in-law are going to have a baby!!! Our first grand-child and we are thrilled--I just whipped up a pair of booties to send off in her birthday package--it will be a Christmas baby and red is her favorite color!!Here they are!

Scarf Almost Done! Signing up for Tote Exchange Next!

My scarf for the ISE4 is almost done--I hope my pal likes it--I am gathering some goodies to put in with the scarf when I send it--so I decided to sign up for another exchange--this time it is the International Tote Exchange IV--
I missed the sign-ups for the last one so I am glad they started another one up so soon--- I thought that I would give this a try!!--Once again the totes that are made are amazing--just like the scarfs--people are so creative
and you get to "meet" by e-mail interesting knitters!

A Hiking We Will Go!!!

Here is the progress I have made on my pal's scarf for the ISE4--I hope she likes it--
we have e-mailed back and forth a few times and she seems so nice!!

In the mean time I am cleaning out some closets and drawers at home, which I dislike doing (I'd rather be knitting!!)--how can anyone accumulate so many socks and T-shirts?????

Here is my Yarn Choice!!!

This is the yarn that I have chosen for my pal--she likes blues and soft grays, so I think this is perfect!!!
Next time I will show a picture of my progress--I decided on a variation of the Irish Hiking Scarf--I have made it narrower with only two cables instead of three--I think it wraps around the neck better this way!

My Other Addiction!!

In case anyone thinks that I am only addicted to knitting, I will tell everyone here what I also can't get enough of: MAH JONG!!! A few of my friends are coming over in a little while for a nice friendly evening of this great game--I hope my luck is better thatn the last time I played!!!

I have Lift Off!!!

I have begun my scarf for my pal and I have taken a picture of what I have done so far---I will post it on the IE4 site and here soon--I am very pleased with my choice--the yarn is super soft and warm with a really nice sheen--I hope my pal likes it !!!!

I got my Pal Assignment!!

I heard from ISE4 today and I have my pal---so that means someone has ME!!!!!!!
Who are you I wonder???Anyway I have contacted my pal to say hello and read her blog where she gave me some more ideas about what she would like--I am ready to plan, shop and knit!!! This is a lot of fun!!

Waiting Patiently!

I thought that I would make a post so I wouldn't forget how--ha! ha!!!Just waiting for the ISE4 to officially start--they are making the match-ups and I can hardly wait---I have a few patterns in mind that I would like to try, but of course I am anxious to see what color and yarn type my pal prefers--

I just discovered (where have I been?) two shows On TV-- Knitty Gritty and Knit One Purl One---I really enjoy them--it is too bad that they seem to be re-runs and aren't making any new ones--I wish they would consider adding some fresh shows---haven't they heard knitting is BIG??--as Vickie would say "knit-on Knitsters"!

I am so excited and I just can't hide it!!!!

International Scarf Exchange 4 Here I go!!!

I am about to sign up for the ISE 4!!!--ISE 3 was my first ever exchange and it was great---I enjoyed selecting a pattern and the yarn for my pal--I created a blog for the first time and felt very with it!!! Thanks to the Hostesses for setting up ISE 4!!!
