I have my match!!!

I received the information about the person that I will be making a scarf for---she seems very flexible and open about what she wants but I am really torn about what to make----her climate will be similar to mine--warm in May when the scarf arrives, so I don't know whether to make something really light (but who wears even light scarfs in the summer) or a scarf that she can save until fall/winter????

Also, I have seen some of her knitting and based on how accomplished she is--I am feeling that I won't make something nice enough--oh well, I have to think some more!!!

I have my Pal!!!

I just got my ISE 6 scarf pal assignment and I am excited!---I will contact her soon--I am not sure what to make for her yet---when the scarfs go out it will be May and warm weather----I am not sure if I want to make a light scarf or one that she can save for fall/winter--I am leaning towards a bright color though:):):)

Knitting right along!

This is what my ISE 5 pal's scarf looks like so far--I am using a burgundy soy wool and doing the palindrome pattern with only two cables, so it will be more narrow--I like that it is reversible and it is a fun knit--I hope she likes it!

Big Is Beautiful!!!!

My tote from my secret pal Emicat arrived and I love it--the colors are BOLD and the tote is nice and BIG to hold many "on the needles projects"--she says that she hasn't been knitting that long--- I think that she did a great job--she included other goodies that she thoughtfully researched--a book from my favorite author, Mah Jong earrings and other treats--thanks so much Emicat:):):)

Tote Completed! Tote Mailed!

I finished my tote for the tote exchange and I have mailed it off to my pal along with some goodies--I hope she likes everything---the tote came out longer and narrower than I thought it would but I told her that I thought that it was still good for long needle projects or a bottle of wine! Or actually both if desired:):):)

Imagine a Tote!!

International Tote Exchange 4 has begun!!!!I have contacted my pal and selected these yarn colors for her tote--I am going to use a fibonacci numbers technique that I saw on the TV show "Knitty Gritty" in the pattern--that should be fun!!!
My Tote knitter has contacted me and seems very nice and eager to make something that I will like--- so away we go!!!

My Scarf from Down Under!!

My
beautiful scarf from my ISE4 pal arrived yesterday all the way from Australia--I am so pleased !!--It is a gorgeous color and a lovely pattern--very delicate and airy-- the talented Corrie included some extra goodies (yum) and a local knitting magazine --the extra yarn may become matching wrist warmers--this exchange was lots of fun!!!
I am getting ready for the Tote exchange next!!

I missed the sign-ups for the last one so I am glad they started another one up so soon--- I thought that I would give this a try!!--Once again the totes that are made are amazing--just like the scarfs--people are so creative

A Hiking We Will Go!!!

Here is the progress I have made on my pal's scarf for the ISE4--I hope she likes it--
we have e-mailed back and forth a few times and she seems so nice!!

In the mean time I am cleaning out some closets and drawers at home, which I dislike doing (I'd rather be knitting!!)--how can anyone accumulate so many socks and T-shirts?????

Here is my Yarn Choice!!!

This is the yarn that I have chosen for my pal--she likes blues and soft grays, so I think this is perfect!!!
Next time I will show a picture of my progress--I decided on a variation of the Irish Hiking Scarf--I have made it narrower with only two cables instead of three--I think it wraps around the neck better this way!
